Silvermist Vineyards is the only organically certified Vineyard on the Constantia Wine Route.
Our ECOCERT certification allows us to highlight our environmentally friendly and socially conscious practices, allowing us to establish a bond of trust with your our visitors, customers, patrons & wider community.
The natural fynbos is encouraged to grow amongst the vineyards alongside selected lupins and grains.
The vineyards have been cultivated without the need for irrigation or artificial chemicals, embracing a sustainable approach. Pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilisers have no place here. Instead, we let nature thrive and self-correct.

Gregory’s life ethos has been incorporated into his to create classic Constantia Wines in a sustainable and responsible manner.
In the beginning it took Gregory and his team took 3 months to chop down the first 1.5 hectares of gum trees, 3 years to pick up the cut wood and 10 years before sipping the fruits of their labour, as the first bottle of Silvermist Organic Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2010 vintage’s was released and the sweet taste of passionate perseverance was realised.
Greg has a simple, yet purist approach to wine-making and believes everything is a product of its environment. The vines are grown without the need for irrigation nor artificial chemicals, pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers used during the farming or wine making process.
